Sheba Medical Center To Create 'Hospital Of The Future' Simulation Space Focusing On Digital Health And Home Healthcare As First Innovation Partner At SciTech Scity In Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, N.J., Oct. 22, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- A cutting-edge high-tech hospital simulation space designed to showcase the future of digital health and home healthcare is coming to Jersey City from Israel. 

At the groundbreaking today for SciTech Scity, the 30-acre "City of Tomorrow" innovation campus that Liberty Science Center is developing to launch and grow world-changing science and technology companies and reimagine public school science education, LSC's President and Chief Executive Officer Paul Hoffman and Dr. Eyal Zimlichman, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Innovation Officer at Sheba Medical Center, announced that Sheba will become the first Innovation Partner and first international tenant at SciTech Scity. With New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop as witnesses, Mr. Hoffman and Dr. Zimlichman executed a Memorandum of Understanding between their respective organizations.

Through this partnership, cutting-edge technologies in healthtech out of Israel, "The Start-Up Nation," will be showcased in a state-of-the-art simulation facility in NJ as Sheba transforms a floor of the eight-story Edge Works "business optimizer" at SciTech Scity into Liberty ARC HealthSpace2030. The simulation space will leverage the expertise of Sheba's existing world-renowned medical simulation center (MSR) in Tel HaShomer, near Tel Aviv, and focus on advances in digital health and home healthcare, employing a host of technologies that integrate sensing, monitoring, AI, communication, augmented reality and robotic technologies to maximize patient care and comfort while minimizing risk to staff. Solutions will be focused on promoting healthy living, coping with chronic diseases (such as diabetes) at home, and promoting health equity.

Google is offering a free pair of Pixel Buds A-Series earbuds to anyone who pre-orders a Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro in the US and Canada through its online store. But if you forgot to add your freebie to the cart before checking out, or somehow couldn't do it, do not fret. The company has you covered. Google has confirmed that all eligible Pixel 6 series pre-order customers will be getting their free earbuds, regardless of whether they have redeemed the offer or not.

An updated official support page for Pixel 6 and 6 Pro orders mentions that Google will provide such customers an alternate way of redeeming the offer by November 3rd. "If you're eligible for the Pixel Buds A-Series promotion but forgot to add Pixel Buds A-Series to your phone order, don't worry. We'll send an email by November 3rd with the next steps on how to redeem the offer," the company says. It has also reportedly sent out emails to customers informing them about this.

According to some Redditors (via Android Police) who reached out to Google support regarding this situation, the customer service simply told them to order Pixel Buds A-Series on their own and the company will refund them later. Perhaps that's how this "alternate way" will work. Or maybe Google will simply email a redeem code to eligible customers who can then order the earbuds at zero cost. Either way, you can rest assured that you will get your free Pixel Buds A-Series earbuds.

Walgreens announced today that eligible individuals can now receive Moderna and Johnson & Johnson (J&J) COVID-19 vaccine booster shots in stores nationwide following the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Emergency Use Authorization and new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). What You Need to Know About Booster Eligibility

Moderna COVID-19 Booster Eligibility:Eligibility requirements for Moderna and Pfizer-BioTech booster doses are the same. Individuals must wait at least six months after they complete their initial mRNA COVID-19 primary vaccine series to receive their booster dose. Eligible individuals include:

Individuals aged 65 and older.
Long-term care facility residents ages 18 and older.
Individuals aged 18 and older with underlying medical conditions. Individuals ages 18 - 49 should consider individual benefits and risks, according to CDC guidance.
Individuals ages 18-64 who are at an increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting, such as healthcare and essential workers, based on their individual benefits and risks.

J&J COVID-19 Booster Eligibility: A single vaccine booster dose is recommended for individuals 18 and older who received a J&J primary dose at least 2 months after they receive their initial J&J primary vaccine dose.
Mix & Match Guidance: In general ,it is recommended individuals receive the same product for their booster dose as they did for their primary series.

However, if the original product is not available or another product is preferred, mix and matching vaccines with any of the authorized COVID-19 vaccine boosters is allowed.
The primary series of two-dose vaccines should still be completed with the same product for both doses.

Walgreens Remains Committed to Addressing Vaccine Hesitancy
Though the United States has more than enough vaccines for all eligible individuals, vaccination rates remain uneven, leaving Hispanic and Black adults particularly at risk. Since September 20, vaccination rates have increased by 1.2 percentage points among both Hispanic and Black adults, but overall, they remain less likely to have received a vaccine. i Continued hesitancy stemming from medical mistrust or misinformation, and other social determinants of health continue to contribute to disparities in vaccinations among some communities of color.

Class Action Filed By Pollock Cohen LLP Against ClassPass Inc. For Containing Thousands Of Deceptive Listings Of Businesses And Their Services

NEW YORK, Oct. 22, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- On October 22, 2021, a class action lawsuit was filed in federal court in Manhattan against ClassPass Inc. on behalf of potentially thousands of businesses alleging that the health, spa, and fitness "aggregator" improperly used business' identities for its own use.  According to the Complaint, ClassPass's website and mobile application list thousands of businesses with which ClassPass has no relationship or affiliation.

The suit alleges that ClassPass included these false listings to attract new users to ClassPass—tricking customers into thinking ClassPass had far more participating businesses than in reality—and then luring the improperly-listed business to actually list on the platform. In so doing, the suit claims, ClassPass engaged in unfair competition and false affiliation, false advertising, and unfair and deceptive trade practices in violation of federal, New York, and New Jersey law.

"Customers deserve an honest count of the spas, gyms, and salons actually available to them. And businesses deserve to control their own brand and business strategy," said Raphael Janove, the attorney at New York-based Pollock Cohen LLP leading the fight.

The plaintiff representing the proposed class of thousands of aggrieved businesses is Tipsy Nail Club LLC, which operates as Leeah Nails in Montclair, New Jersey.  On September 1, 2021, a customer came to the store and received manicure and pedicure services. When it was time to pay, the customer showed proof that she had already paid through ClassPass. But Leeah Nails had no relationship with ClassPass and had received no prepayment from ClassPass for the reservation.

Prompted by this incident, Leeah Nails began investigating, and found that it wasn't alone. It discover that dozens of other spas, nail salons, and gyms had similar fake listings - and  entirely fabricated appointment schedules.  And when Leeah Nails' owner tried to clear up the situation with ClassPass, the company's customer service department refused to deal with him because he had no ClassPass account.

" Leeah Nails has the right to control its own brand, and to pursue its own strategy," said Janove. "Reputation is incredibly important in a service business, and ClassPass has no right to hijack or appropriate any entrepreneur's dream," said Janove.

Это был самый крупный выигрыш в лоторею за последние двадцать лет. За пятьдесят процентов я взялся добыть номер. Работал один, не из жадности, конечно. Я — профессионал, мне нахер никто не нужен.
Номер запросили из первой половины двадцать первого, платили электричеством, поскольку материальные предметы из нижнего времени в верхнее двигать тогда еще было нельзя. Энергию же гонять можно было сколько угодно, она хорошо продавалась, нужно было только следить за ценами, чтобы не наепали. Платили цифрой. Семь процентов брал банк за перевод во времени, и уже в Нью–Йорке я мог получить кешак в любом банкомате.
Мне нравились девяностые. Обычно, после всех дел я возвращался в свою манхеттеновскую хату в Дакоте в восемьдесят шестой год, в тот самый счастливый год моей реальной жизни, когда я познакомился с Танькой. Тогда это было хорошее тихое место на краю Централ Парка, а главное историческое. Иногда, если приходили друзья, я выкупал групповое туристическое время, самое дешевое, и показывал гостям с балкона убийство Ленона.
Мы заказывали настоящий чайниз, который китайцы готовят для китайцев и который европеец есть не сможет, а по Т–каналу через Семена Ароновича Островского я получал настоящую Московскую водку в поллитровых бутылочках с сургучными головками. У Таньки были длинные волосы, она заплетала их косами или распускала русалкой и душила меня в позе наездницы до содроганий.
Этот мутный штымп, что сделал заказ, сильно минжевался, ни ID ни image своего давать не хотел, гнал какую–то муйню, вдобавок ко всему писал по–русски латинскими буквами, чего я терпеть не могу. Так и не понял, из какого он времени, но сильно не заморачивался. Цифры не пахнут.
В принципе, задача простая, я должен был заселиться в пустую хату на окраине Москвы где–то на бульваре Райниса в крупнопанельном билдинге на двенадцатом этаже. Это была запущенная грязная двушка, которую хозяин сдавал каким–то студентам. Из всех предметов исправным был только телевизор Сони, маленький, со стеклянным еще экраном. Шоу розыгрыша лотто транслировалось по внутреннему каналу. Канал был оплачен заказчиком на год вперед. Проблема только в том, что этот заказчик не знал точное время передачи и я должен был, как дурак, целые сутки в реальном времени сидеть в этой квартире перед телевизором, как только выигрышный номер станет известен, передать по специальному внутривременному каналу связи и сразу сваливать.
Эти суки подловили меня во время трансвера на самом выходе. Я в этом деле уже много лет и облазил все время от Ассири и Вавилона до 3–й мировой, были курьезы и приключения, но чтобы подвиснуть в канале, такой херни со мной еще не случалось. Когда это произошло, у меня возникло чувство, что я застрял в лифте небоскреба, на самом верху. Опасность была в том, что могли кинуть вниз в какие–нибудь средние века, в холерный бунт или в гражданскую войну в Мексике. Хотя это незаконно, но такие случаи были, сталкеры попадали, были инциденты со смертельными, и хер потом найдешь виновных. У меня оставалась возможность сделать аварийный сброс, что–то вроде катапультирования. Счетчик показывал 1934. Я немного знаю историю. Выходить у русских в 1934 году мне не хотелось.
Я понимал, что за мной наблюдают, и не выражая своих чувств, спокойно откинул прикрепленный к стене лежак, взял из ниши постельные принадлежности, надел на подушку чистую наволочку лег и принялся читать маленькую бумажную книжку со стихами одного русского поэта. Держать долго в открытом канале меня не могли, я тормозил траффик. Где–то через час они связались со мной через аварийное устройство, прикинулись FСT и стали интересоваться, что я делаю в государственном канале времени, кто выдал мне разрешение и прочее ***–мое тачки. Я сразу понял, что это разводка, потому что в номерах они говорили "ноль", а профессионал никогда ноль не скажет, он скажет "оу" или "зиро". Спросил открыто: «Что вам от меня нужно?»
Они сказали:
— Не трогай номер, он уже продан.
— Так бы сразу и объяснили. Зачем эти понты с блокировкой. Выпустите меня отсюда, у меня клаустрофобия.
Они сказали:
— Что–то не похоже.
— А в чем моя вина, что я такого сделал?
Они сказали:
— Ты нарушаешь причинно–следственную.
Я возбухнул с понтом и сказал:
— Идите на x.. со своей причинно–следственной. Зафакали своей причинно–следственной, как будто, кроме нее больше ничего нет.
Они замолчали, сбитые с толку. Я врубился, что они не могут перевести.
Не знаю откуда эти чуваки были, но наших дел они совершенно не знали. Здесь я устроил этим фраерам такой хипеж, пальцевал, кричал и плевал в камеру, так что они видели только мои миндалины, вывернул глазное веко и снял верхний боковой мост на крючках на шесть зубов. Короче, они дали заднюю. Выкинули меня в подземном переходе на Якуба Коласа с подушкой в руках.
Номер я добыл в тот же день, договорившись с нужными людьми. За десять штук цифрами мне этот номер заделали на генераторе случайных цифр. С понтом я заказал Танькин домашний, чтобы не запоминать.
В этот раз через государственный канал не полез, потому что понял, что эта банда его контролирует, пошел через левый китайский, хотя знал, что рискую. У китайцев часто случались ошибки при трансформациях, уходили одни люди, а возвращались другие и убедить их, что они совершенно не они, не было никакой возможности. Все вроде бы прошло класс. Китайцы без сбоев доставили меня в нужное время и место. Я все успел и еще договорился на телевидении, чтобы конкурентам, этой мафии с госканала, показали розыгрыш лотореи в записи. Попросил высадить меня 18 января 1996 года.
18 января у Таньки был день рождения. Ей исполнилось 26 лет, и мы еще не были знакомы.
Случился один из тех загадочных дней, когда, не сговариваясь, на втором этаже у Шумея собралась вся троицкая тусовка. Шумей разрешил курить, но потребовал, чтобы у него выкупили вчерашние бутерброды с московской колбасой. Я зашел, огляделся. В табачном марихуановом дыму увидел Таньку – мою красавицу, принцессу, мою любовь и счастье моей жизни, она сидела у минского художника на коленях и тот сладострастно целовал ее под подбородком в шею. Меня не узнали. И только Леха Мартынов, который приперся в Тройку с деревенской гармошкой, пел, играл, изрядно уже выпил и всем надоел, увидел меня и воскликнул:
— Рабинович, что, блин, с тобой случилось!
Я выпил хуевого шумеевского кофе за 47 копеек положил в пустую чашку стольник баксов, отдал бармену и сказал:
"Счастья для всех, даром, и пусть никто не уйдет обиженным!"
