| How To Watch WWE Extreme Rules 2021: Roman Reigns vs "The Demon" Finn Balor Posted: 24 Sep 2021 10:03 AM PDT  WWE is back with another match-themed PPV, this time Extreme Rules. Though that doesn't mean much, since there are zero Extreme Rules matches on the card for this PPV. Almost makes you wonder why it is called "Extreme Rules"? Anyways, this isn't one of the big four PPVs, so we're not going to see a lot of hard-hitting matches. Most of those are being saved for next month when the WWE returns to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel. Where we'll see the first ever "Queen's Crown Tournament" finals, and that's a bit surprising since women are generally not allowed to wrestle in Saudi Arabia. But, back to Extreme Rules. WWE has kept the card pretty light this time around, so this might be another, less than three hour, PPV. Which fans really like these days. Main Event PreviewThe main event is arguably for the WWE Universal Championship, between current champion Roman Reigns and the challenger, "The Demon" Finn Balor. These two have met before, in fact they met just a few weeks ago on Smackdown. But now Finn Balor's alter-ego is here, The Demon. And that changes the game entirely. Reigns has been champion since Summerslam 2020. Well over a year at this point, and he has challengers lining up months in advance now. With Brock Lesnar waiting in the wings for a chance at Crown Jewel to regain the Universal Championship. So it wouldn't be too surprising to see Lesnar show up at Extreme Rules and potentially cost Reigns the match. Reigns is the best thing going in the WWE right now. After partnering up with Paul Heyman in late 2020, he has become an unstoppable force, after almost a decade of being boo'd by the audience. Now he's cheered (even as a bad guy). Watch Extreme Rules on Peacock Another match that many will be watching closely is for the Smackdown Women's Championship. Last month, Becky Lynch shocked everyone by returning and inserting herself into the Smackdown Women's Championship match (replacing Carmella, who had replaced Sasha Banks after an "injury"). She then went on to beat Bianca Belair, then champion, in just 26 seconds. Now, the rematch is here. Becky Lynch just returned after over a years absence, due to having her first child, and she looks to be in the best shape of her life. She also turned heel – also known as being a bad guy or woman in this case. So she's doing what she can to piss off the WWE Universe. And beating Belair in just 26 seconds, as well as rubbing it in for the past month, has done just that. Both of these matches – which eminate from the Smackdown brand – are going to be great. Surprisingly, there is no WWE Championship match this time around. That is because Big E just cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to become champion less than two weeks ago. And there hasn't been much time to build up a storyline for him. But it is looking like he'll be facing the former champion Bobby Lashley at Crown Jewel, and Goldberg (who was originally getting a rematch with Lashley at the event). Which is going to be an insanely good match. Extreme Rules Match CardAs always, the match card is subject to change. Though, given how light this card is, we doubt that any will be cut due to time constraints. However, we may see a squash match or another short match added to fill time.

| Water Main Flushing May Cause Discoloration Or Low Pressure Posted: 24 Sep 2021 09:48 AM PDT CLIFTON, N.J., Sept. 24, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) has begun flushing water mains in Clifton, Passaic, Paterson, Prospect Park and Woodland Park. The flushing is needed because, earlier this month, remnants of Hurricane Ida caused torrential rainfall to overflow the banks and contaminate the New Street Reservoir. The 52-million-gallon reservoir has been inoperable as efforts continue to restore it to the high-quality water standards that existed prior to the hurricane. The clean-up of the reservoir has now reached a point where it is now necessary to flush the estimated 550 miles of pipes and 4,000 hydrants in preparation of restoring service. The flushing process will run 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, but could still take 10 to 14 days to complete. PVWC is adding extra crews to try to finish the flushing more quickly. PVWC warns that customers may experience unavoidable discoloration or low pressure during the flushing process. Customers that see water discoloration should open the cold-water faucet and allow the water to run for a minute or two until it clears. Avoid washing clothes with discolored water as some staining may occur. Do not open the hot-water faucets until your water runs clear. PVWC thanks its customers for their patience and understanding during this situation and remains committed to replacing the open finished water reservoirs with enclosed water storage tanks to prevent this from happening again. | Waydroid could bring Android apps to Windows before Microsoft does Posted: 24 Sep 2021 09:42 AM PDT  Waydroid is an open source tool that installs an Android image in a container on Linux devices in order to let you run Android apps on Linux phones or PCs. But you know what else runs Linux these days? Windows PCs, thanks to Microsoft's Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). So Waydroid developer Erfan Abdi took the next logical step and used Waydroid to install Android in a container running within Windows 10 by using WSL.
While Waydroid is very much a work in progress, it's shown a lot of promise on smartphones in recent months, allowing users to install an Android 10-based version of LineageOS on phones running mobile Linux distributions such as Manjaro or openSUSE. Since mobile Linux is still a pretty young platform, there aren't nearly as many Linux apps designed for phones as there are Android apps, so this opens the door to running some Android apps and games on phones while using Linux as your primary operating system.
Running Android apps on a Windows PC is a bit of a different proposition. While it could open the door to using some mobile-only games (or apps like Clubhouse) on a desktop computer, it's not like there's any shortage of desktop-optimized apps, games, or websites. I imagine where something like Waydroid would really come in handy on Windows computers is Windows tablets – despite Microsoft's best efforts to encourage developers to create apps specifically for touch-first devices like its Surface line of tablets, Windows has largely remained a keyboard and mouse operating system for decades. And maybe that's why Microsoft is also working to bring support for Android apps to Windows PCs. The company has been working on a Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) that will work much like WSL, allowing users to run Android apps on Windows computers either by downloading them from the Amazon Appstore or by sideloading them. The Windows Subsystem for Android is coming to Windows 11 some time after the operating system launches next month – Microsoft says it's not ready for the general public just yet. And that means that you might be able to use the third-party, open source Waydroid to run Android apps on Windows PCs before you can use WSA. That said, Waydroid for WSL isn't available for download just yet, and when it is released, it won't support hardware-accelerated graphics which could make it a bit sluggish. So it's not entirely clear at this point whether Waydroid will arrive before WSA or if it'll be more or less usable when it does. But one key advantage? It'll support Windows 10 and not just Windows 11. Oh, one more fun tidbit – that screenshot of Android 10 running in a container on a Windows 10 system shown above? It's actually cropped from Abdi's original image, which shows that Windows 10 itself is running in a virtual machine on a Mac computer. In other words, the full image shows Android running inside a Linux container on a Windows system installed in a virtual machine on a Mac. That's four different operating systems working together to allow Android apps to run on a Mac.
